This site was designed around the slogan 'where help is just a click away'. When we invisioned the site we saw a community of people who have been a victim of a crime openly talking anonymously about what has happened, and how it has affected their life, and we hope to have people replying who may have been involved in similar situations, and who may be able to help you, or at least learn from how you have dealt with your problem. We want you to keep in mind that your identity will remain anonymous, and any replies will be moderated to ensure a safe and happy environment. To get started you can click on the menu options above, below is a list of what each menu represents.
FORUM - is a posting arena where people do not talk in real time, they leave messages for people to peruse and respond to even while your offline. As always your identity will remain anonymous unless you choose to advertise who you are. However all addresses will be removed from posts, to ensure safety.
If you are wishing to write your story on the forum, here are a few basic steps. Once you click on the forum menu item above you'll be taken to the forum page, where you select which topic best suits your story, e.g. "victim of abuse". Once the new page has loaded up near the bottom of the page is a button called "new topic". Simply click this button. When the new page loads up there will be 3 windows, next to username. Type the name you'd like to be identified as plus your country. Under subject try to sum up your story in 3 or so words, and then the finial box is for your story. Because of alot of spam junk advertisement that gets posted, a new security measure had to be formed where you will be asked a simple question before you can submit your posting. E.g. 5 + 2 = 7. Once finished click Submit and your story will be posted. For more information on how to use the forum, simply click on 'how to use the forum' on the top left hand side of the forum.
LIVE CHAT - While it is operational, at this early stage of the site not many people will be in there. We hope to achieve over the coming months the live chat being used as a type of online 'group session' for people who wish to remain anonymous and not attend group sessions in real life.
1300CRIMINAL - is a sister site. This side of the site is for the people who commit crimes. We have not designed this site to glorify criminals, we designed it to show how the criminal mind thinks, and we hope that people reading the stories on the site can learn how to better protect themselves. As an example a recent survey taken at an unnamed goal showed that rapists target woman with longer hair, and clothes that can easily be removed. It also showed that if a woman puts up a fight, the criminal has a higher chance of ditching the attempt and run off, as it can become too difficult.
